Awesomeness... in progress

The decision has been made, and I will be spending more and more time updating this blog over the next few weeks.  As my stamping hobby and business ramp up for what I'm predicting to be an awesome 2011, I will be devoting a lot of time and energy to updating this page with life events, fantastic projects, and inspiration galore.  As well, I will be bringing in a lot of information from the Creative Chicks group, of which I am a member.  Bear with me over the next few weeks, and hopefully we will be ready to go first thing in the new year!

Cheers,
Cait

Going away for the weekend!

Well, yesterday was my 2nd wedding anniversary with my hubby, and we've decided to make a last-minute trip to the cottage! His grandfather has a beautiful cottage up near Tobermory, and since we have not been able to go for a while, we are cottage-bound this afternoon!

My apologies for not having fully updated my blog this week, but I am planning on getting all of my class schedules and my card club/scrap club information posted by the end of the weekend!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Last day of the Fair!

Well, after 10 days of fun, the fair is finally over.  My last three days were a blur, as I was at the fair Friday night, for 12 hours on Saturday, and for most of Sunday!  I had a fantastic time and cannot wait to reconnect with the people that I met.  I taught three more classes, and they were very well received.  I even think I may have converted some of the attendees to become avid stampers" like myself!

Special thanks to the ladies who gave me hints and tips, from their experience.  I have an entire list of blogs and websites to visit now!
While I ended the fair exhausted, I am resting up to get ready for my fall classes.  In addition to my card club and scrapbooking clubs, I am running a series of classes, such as “8 for 10” classes and “Stamp-a-stacks”.  If you are interested in more information, please contact me today at caitmwilliams@gmail.com

Thanks for a wonderful Fair, and I can’t wait to see you all again!

Today at the Fair!

Well after a not-so-relaxing day yesterday, spent attempting to make homemade pickles with two of my girlfriends, I can't wait to get back to the Fair! This afternoon I will be with Dani, my best friend and fellow demonstrator, at the booth in the Canada Building. I'm going to be doing a Stamping Technique class, using my new favourite stamp, the Medallion, and a technique called "Poppin' Pastels". I've posted the photo to try to entice more of you to come! I cut paper in a variety of colours, so everyone will be able to bring out their creative side, and I can't wait to see what everyone is going to create!

Class starts at 7pm, see you there!

First Day of the Western Fair!

Whew! Day one is now over, and I'm very excited for the rest of the Fair! I spent Friday evening with Kristine, who is one of my Stamp In London teammates and a fabulous demonstrator. We had loads of fun showing off our creations and promoting Stampin' Up to everyone who walked by! Some had never stamped before, some had limited experience, and some were stamp-addicts just like us! We even had a chance to speak with some other demonstrators, and the feedback was great.

Kudos to Alesha, Danielle, and Kristine, and Alesha's wonderful hubby Jamie, for setting up the booth, as it looks amazing! We have the booth set up to showcase product and creations, as well as have an area set up for the free classes.

I left the fair late last night happy, tired, and with very sore feet, but I am very excited to go back on Sunday for more! To anyone reading this who I met yesterday, thank you so much for visiting us and giving us an opportunity to share our passion with you!

Also, this blog is a work in progress, so please bear with me as I learn and create within this space!

Hugs,
Caitlyn

Busy times and the Western Fair!

Despite the fact that my poor, neglected Blog has been up since April, it is only now, in September, that I'm actually going to do my best to keep up with things and post more often!

I'm absolutely swamped right now with preparations for my first BIG EVENT as a Demonstrator! In just over a week, I will be joining the rest of Alesha's team at the Western Fair! For those who don't know, the Western Fair is an annual event in London that is part agricultural and part amusement-park. There are concerts, rides, a midway, games, livestock shows and demonstrations, and loads of vendors selling everything from craft items to jewelry to clothing to hot tubs!

Alesha, my "upline" and also my stamping mentor, has arranged to have a booth in the community vendor section, and believe it or not, we will be offering free classes each and every day of the fair! For more information, please check out the Let's Stamp in London! Blog, http://stampinlondon.blogspot.com/ I am a contributor to this group, which is a product of Alesha and her downline team of Demonstrators. Full details for the Fair are available there!

Additionally, as soon as I've finished the demos of the projects, I promise to upload them here, so that you can see copies of what I'm going to be teaching!

That's it for now... more information, promotions, etc to come soon!!

First Post

Hi! This is my first-ever blog post. Hopefully within the next few weeks, I will be adding loads of photos and little projects, some from my paper-crafting hobby and some from the "reclaiming event" I am participating in with some friends in two weeks. A little about me, I'm 25, married, and the proud mama of a one year old Boston Terrier! She is my fur-baby, since my husband and I have yet to start our own family. Frankly, as anyone with a BT knows, they are their own handful! If anyone out there in blogdom wants to comment or provide helpful insights into how to make a creative blog, please let me know!
Thanks so much, and Happy Everything!
